    A HIP will be required BEFORE the marketing of a home may begin. The Government refers to this as "First Day Marketing".
  • 1st October 2008
    EPCs are required for the Rental Market. All landlords will need to provide an EPC to any prospective tenant. However, there is no need to obtain an EPC for an existing tenant. Once obtained, an EPC will remain valid for up to 10 years. If a valid Energy Performance Certificate still exists when changing tenants no new certificate will be required. This applies to both Private and Social sector Landlords and Tenants.

has resided in Sowerby Bridge for over 22 years where she has raised her family, she also has a vast amount of knowledge of all districts within the Yorkshire area. This knowledge has proven an advantage over many companies in the field, this also reflects within her work.

She has over 21 years expertise within the processing of local authority searches, 14 years of which have been providing searches for her own personal search company – during which time she has gained the trust and respect of many within the legal profession. Jackie says, “Having process understanding and a keen eye for search exploration and map reading is also an essential element to gaining that trust”.

is a Brighouse based family man. His 30 years experience in Local Government and Utilities made his transition to this role quite smooth. He has surveyed many properties over the years, but now specifically aimed at energy efficiency. His commitment and attention to detail is ideally suited to this type of work.

He has a desire to drive the business forward based upon reliable and good quality service. He is also a Brighouse based family man and is well respected within the local community. “Our approach to performing the whole Home Information Pack is to consider the Client and their needs, for example, we respect a Customer’s home and are totally dependable.”

“Home Information Packs have been given a bad press” says Jonathan “but there are many advantages – one being evidence that the Vendor is sincere in making a sale and not simply discovering a potential sale price. I am looking forward to the day when HIP’s are recognised as a help and not a hindrance to all those moving house.”

has trained and worked alongside her mother, Jackie, for 10 years and has gained the same acumen for searches and detailed investigation that has made her mother so effective in this field.

With her knowledge of local authority searches and organization, teamed with conscientious management skills, she will bring an array of talents to her role within the business.
